I'm a Hatr

June 19, 2007

I absolutely abhor the new(ish) trend of removing letters or changing the correct spelling of common words by companies and/or their idiot marketing staff. Some ridiculously annoying examples include, but are not limited to: Flickr, Listerine PocketPaks; and Motorola Razr, Slvr, Pebl. Motorola, you're aiding in the dumbing-down of the world. Stop it.

I'm also starting to dislike the convention of putting two words together to create a compound word, such as the PocketPak example above. I shouldn't have to google a product or company name to see if a space should be omitted or if the second part of the compound proper noun should be capitalized (Pocket Pack? Pocketpack? Pocket Pak? Pocketpak?). I literally sighed just now.

This is a personal website for a (nearly) 25 year-old femme fatale who breathes, works, and plays in Texas. Most of what one may find here are crafty vignettes ripped from the headlines of her life. She also has an odd fascination with ninjas—the black-masked killing machines, not the two-wheeled crotch-rockets. Those are dumb. Intrigued? Read more.
